Fine jewelry designer Floor Wetemans studied Gold- and Silversmithing at the Vocational School in Schoonhoven. During her studies in The Netherlands and love for natural gemstones she started a course in gemmology at the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (GEM-A). After this she obtained a degree in jewelry design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, in Belgium.

She received awards from the jewelry industry including the Wim Ibens Prize (Laureate) for product development and innovation and a finalist place at the International Diamond High Council Award. After graduating Floor has started up her studio with the aim to develop small collections and bespoke pieces.

Her designs are captivating and graceful yet they always have an edge. During the past 20 years she gained a broad network of reliable suppliers for gold, precious stones and pearls and works close, among others, with the best setters and engravers in Antwerp and The Netherlands.

Craftsmanship

All jewelry is hand made with the greatest attention. This is an intensive and time captivating process and therefore she does not work with a huge stock.

The deliberate absence of a retail network ensures you can enjoy an understated exclusivity and personal attention that has been largely lost in today’s mass production society.

In my studio in Antwerp I work with the finest materials like gold, diamonds, gemstones and pearls. Each piece is created using modern technology combined with traditional goldsmith techniques.

For me, it is important to design and make timeless pieces in a sustainable way.

“The best things in life are unique, made by hand, and meant to be cherished by generations to come.”
